Appeals against decisions
Authors may appeal once against the rejection of their manuscript. Appeals are made in writing to bilgi@artsurem.tr within 30 days of the decision, with reasons and a point-by-point response to the reviewer reports.
- The appeal is assessed by an editor who was not involved in the original decision; a new reviewer may be consulted.
- The outcome is communicated to the authors within 4 weeks; this decision is final.
- A successful appeal does not mean acceptance; the manuscript re-enters the review process.
- No appeal is possible against rejection at initial screening on the grounds that a manuscript is out of scope.
