Aims and Scope

Nesne Journal of Psychology was founded in 2012 and published its first issue in 2013. The journal appeared twice a year, in Summer (June) and Winter (December), from 2013 to 2019, and four times a year from 2021 to 2024. Since 2025 it has been published twice a year, in June and December.

Aims and Scope

Nesne Journal of Psychology publishes empirical research articles and review-type papers, the latter comprising comprehensive reviews of the most recent literature and case reports.

All manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the style guidelines of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed., 2020). The journal accepts original studies from all fields of psychology, in particular clinical, developmental, social, industrial and organizational, and experimental psychology and psychometrics. Nesne also publishes papers derived from master's and doctoral theses. The principal aim of the journal is to increase the contribution of early-career researchers to psychological science.

Review of Manuscripts

Manuscripts submitted to Nesne Journal of Psychology are first examined by the editor for conformity with the principles and style rules of the journal. Manuscripts found suitable are forwarded to the Section Editor, who examines the content of the manuscript and sends it to two reviewers in the relevant field. On the basis of the reviewer reports, the section editor may decide that the manuscript should be returned to the author for revision, accepted for publication, or rejected. Manuscripts accepted for publication by the section editor are placed in the publication queue by the editor-in-chief, and the authors are informed accordingly. The copyright of manuscripts accepted for publication in Nesne Journal of Psychology is deemed to be transferred to Nesne Journal of Psychology. Responsibility for the views expressed in published articles rests with their authors.
