Öz

İklim değişikliği, çağımızın en büyük tehditlerinden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu konu, son yıllarda çeşitli olağanüstü doğa olayları ile dikkatleri üzerine çekmektedir. Buna paralel olarak alanyazında iklim değişikliğinin psikolojik sonuçlarına ilişkin çalışmalarda da artış görülmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı, iklim değişikliğinin yarattığı stresi ve bireylerin ve toplulukların bu stres ile baş etme biçimlerini ele alarak Türkçe alanyazına bu konuyla ilgili bir bakış açısı kazandırmaktır. Bu doğrultuda derlemenin ilk bölümünde iklim değişikliğinin yarattığı stresi ele alan çalışmalara yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise bireylerin ve toplulukların iklim değişikliği ile nasıl baş ettiğini inceleyen araştırmalar gözden geçirilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde gençlerin iklim değişikliğine yönelik tutumları ve baş etme biçimlerini ele alan çalışmalar değerlendirilmektedir. Son bölümde ise iklim değişikliği konusunda farkındalık ve uyum için psikologlara düşen rollere ve bununla birlikte özellikle ülkemiz alanyazınındaki boşluğa işaret edilerek gelecek araştırmalar için öneriler sunulmaktadır. İklim değişikliği odağında stres ve baş etme konusunda güncel bilgileri aktarmayı amaçlayan bu derleme makalesinin, ülkemizde hem bu yöndeki bilimsel çalışmaların hem de toplumsal farkındalığın çoğalmasına katkı sunacağı düşünülmektedir.
