Öz
Linç kültürü, paylaşımları ve ifadeleri toplum tarafından olumsuz karşılanan kişilerin, linç kitlesi tarafından toplumdan uzaklaştırılması ve çeşitli alanlarda varlıklarının silinmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilen eylemleri ifade etmektedir. Bu makalede son yıllarda özellikle sosyal medyada yaygınlaşan linç kültürünü tanıtmak ve bu kavramı sosyal psikoloji bakış açısıyla ele almak amaçlanmıştır. Linç kültürü, linçe maruz kalan kişiler açısından birçok olumsuz sonuca yol açabilmektedir. Makale ile hem bu olumsuz sonuçların farkında olunmasını sağlamak hem de kişilerin linç kültürüne neden katkı sağladığını açıklamak hedeflenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda makalede öncelikle linç kültürü ve linç kültürünün tarihinden söz edilmiştir. Bu yapılırken linç kültürüyle ilişkili olan boykot, çevrimiçi ayıplama ve dijital kanunsuzluk gibi kavramlara da yer verilmiştir. Ardından linç kültürünü açıklamak için kitle psikolojisi, sosyal etki, sorumluluğun dağılması, anonimlik, kimliğin yitirilmesi ve günah keçisi seçme gibi bazı sosyal psikolojik değişkenlerden yararlanılmıştır. Sonrasında, linç kültürü ile ilgili örnek vakalar ve araştırma bulgularından söz edilmiştir. Bu araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda izleyen çalışmalarda konuyla ilgili daha fazla ilişkisel veya deneysel araştırma yapılması tavsiye edilmiştir. Son olarak, linç kültürünün doğurabileceği olumsuz sonuçlara ve bunlara yönelik alınabilecek bazı önerilere ve önlemlere yer verilmiştir. Anahtar kelimeler:
