Öz
Psikoterapi kayıtlarının etik çerçevesini ilgili yasaların, Amerikan Psikoloji Birliği (APA) Etik Kodu’nun ve Türkiye’de Türk Psikologlar Derneği Etik Yönetmeliği’nin belirlediği ifade edilmiştir. Etik standartlar, mesleğe özgü sınırlamalar ve yasal yükümlülükler bazı durumlarda kendi içinde ya da birbiriyle çelişebilmekte ve farklı şekillerde davranmayı önerebilmektedir. Bunun gibi etik ikilem yaratan durumlarda, psikoterapistlerin kayıt tutmayla ilgili etik karar verme süreçlerini kolaylaştıracak ve bu gereklilikleri dengelemesine yardımcı olacak bir rehbere ihtiyaç olduğu düşünülmektedir. Sonunda iyi bir uygulama örneğinin de verildiği bu derleme, belirtilen ihtiyacı karşılamaya yönelik yapılmıştır. Bu derlemenin amacı ilk seanstan itibaren başlayan, süreç boyunca devam eden ve terapi bittikten sonra da muhafaza edilen psikoterapi kayıtları ile ilgili etik çerçevenin aşamalı ve detaylı olarak sunulmasıdır. Meslek etiği açısından psikoterapide kayıt tutmanın öneminin vurgulanmasının psikoterapistlere yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir. Konu gözden geçirilirken; psikoterapi kayıtlarıyla ilgili etik ilke ve zorunluluklar, kayıt tutmanın amaçları, kayıtların özellikleri ve içeriği, kayıtların gizliliği, danışanın kayıtlara erişimi, kayıtların üçüncü taraflarla paylaşımı ve kayıtların yok edilmesi ile ilgili bilgilere yer verilmiştir.
