Öz
Bu çalışmanın amacı, bekarlara yönelik kalıpyargıları ölçen geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracının geliştirilmesidir. Bu amaçla, çalışmanın ilk aşamasında 102 katılımcıyla (Ort. = 24.32, S = 3.41) bekar kalmayı tercih eden bireylerin toplumda nasıl algılandığını sorgulayan nitel bir çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu nitel çalışmanın bulgularıyla ölçeğin ilk deneme formu oluşturulmuştur. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliği açımlayıcı faktör analizi ve doğrulayıcı faktör analiziyle incelenmiştir. 358 katılımcının (Ort. = .29; S = 7.92) yer aldığı örneklemle gerçekleştirilen açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda ölçeğin toplam varyansının %56.5’ini açıklayan 15 maddeden oluşan tek faktörlü bir yapıda olduğu saptanmıştır. 406 katılımcının (Ort. = 28.72, S = 7.93) oluşturduğu bir başka çalışma grubuyla yürütülen doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile ölçeğin bu yapısının doğrulandığı görülmüştür. Ölçeğin ölçüt bağıntılı geçerliği İnönü Evlilik Tutum Ölçeği ile test edilmiştir. İki ölçekten alınan puanlar arasında hesaplanan korelasyon katsayısı .40 olarak bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin güvenirliği Cronbach’s Alpha analizi ve testi yarılama yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Ölçeğin Cronbach’s Alpha katsayısı .95 olarak belirlenmiştir. Testin iki yarısı arasındaki korelasyon ise .87’dir. Bu bulgular gönüllü bekarlara yönelik kalıpyargılar ölçeğinin geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğuna dair kanıtlar sunmaktadır.
