Öz

Günümüzde sosyal medya, sosyalleşmek, bilgi edinmek, haber almak ya da yeni kişilerle tanışmak gibi farklı amaçlarla oldukça yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Ebeveynlerin de sosyal medyayı sık sık kullandıkları bilinmektedir. Sosyal medya ebeveynliği (sharenting) bir ebeveynin, kendi çocuğunun fotoğraf, video ya da kişisel bilgilerini sosyal medya aracılığı ile geniş kitlelerle paylaşması anlamına gelmektedir. Ebeveynler bu tür paylaşımları bilgi almak ya da iletmek, kendilerini ifade etmek, yardımlaşmak ya da sosyalleşmek gibi farklı amaçlarla yapmaktadırlar ancak sosyal medya ebeveynliğinin çocukların mahremiyeti açısından olumsuz sonuçları da olabilmektedir. Bu derleme, ebeveynler tarafından çocukları ile ilgili yapılan sosyal medya paylaşımlarının yaygınlığını, olası nedenlerini ve sonuçlarını, çocuklar açısından taşıdığı riskleri, ebeveynlerin ve çocukların bu konuya olan bakış açılarını var olan araştırmalar ışığında derinlemesine incelemektedir. Araştırma bulguları göz önünde bulundurularak, sosyal medya uygulamalarının gizlilik ayarlarının yapılması, sosyal medya paylaşımların azaltılması ya da çocukların bu paylaşımlara dahil edilmemesi gibi çocuk hakları ihlalini önlemek adına alınabilecek çeşitli önlemler bu derleme içerisinde belirtilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra, ebeveyn grupları ile yapılacak kesitsel ve boylamsal araştırmaların ve ebeveynler için hazırlanacak müdahale programlarının önemi vurgulanmıştır.
