Öz
Kendiliğin merkezi bir işlevi olan ve kişilerin kendilerini düzenleme kapasitesi olarak tanımlanabilecek özdenetime ilişkin güncel literatür incelendiğinde bu değişkenin tek boyutlu bir yapıda olmadığına dair tartışmalar dikkat çekmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında da özdenetim değişkenini çok boyutlu bir yapı olarak ele alan ve bu şekilde bir değerlendirme yapmayı hedefleyen Çok Boyutlu Özdenetim Ölçeği’nin Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirlik özelliklerini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini 308 (%86.69 kadın, %13.31 erkek; Yaş x̅ = 21.50, S = 2.07) üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılar, demografik bilgi formu, Çok Boyutlu Özdenetim Ölçeği, Duygu Düzenlemede Güçlükler Ölçeği Kısa Formu ve Barrat Dürtüsellik Ölçeği Kısa Formu’nu çevrimiçi olarak doldurmuştur. Ölçeğin psikometrik özelliklerini test etmek için bir dizi doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, iç tutarlılık analizleri, test-tekrar test için bağımlı gruplar için t-test analizi yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin çok boyutlu yapısı gereği üç farklı düzeyde doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yürütülmüş ve ayrıca ölçeğin kısa formu da değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Çok Boyutlu Özdenetim Ölçeği’nin uzun ve kısa formlarının tatmin edici geçerlilik ve güvenirlik değerlerine sahip olduğu, araştırma ve uygulama süreçlerinde kullanabileceği görülmektedir.
