Öz
Annelerin baba çocuk ilişkisini teşvik eden, kontrol eden ya da engelleyen davranışları olarak tanımlanan anne bekçiliğini etkileyen birçok faktör bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, erken çocukluk döneminde çocuğu olan annelerin bekçilik davranışlarını etkileyen anneye özgü değişkenleri incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini yaş ortalaması 32.71 (S=7.61) olan toplam 385 anne oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılar Anne Bekçiliği Ölçeği, Ebeveyn Yetkinlik Ölçeği, Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği, Anlamsal Farklılık Ölçeği-Anne Olarak Ben, Babalık Rolü Algı Ölçeği, Çocuk Yetiştirmede Günlük Zorluklar Ölçeği ve kişisel bilgi formunu doldurmuşlardır. Her bir bekçilik davranışı için ayrı yürütülen hiyerarşik regresyon analizi sonuçlarına göre; annenin babalık rol algısı, babanın yeterliliğine dair algısı ve annelik öz değerlendirmesi teşvik edici bekçiliği olumlu yönde yordarken, engelleyici bekçiliği olumsuz yönde yordamaktadır. Bunun yanı sıra annenin geleneksel cinsiyet rollerinin teşvik edici bekçiliği olumsuz yönde yordadığı görülürken, kontrolü olumlu yönde yordadığı saptanmıştır. Son olarak annenin çocuk yetiştirmede yaşadığı günlük zorlukların ise engelleyici ve kontrol edici bekçiliği olumlu yönde yordadığı bulunmuştur. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçların, anne bekçiliği davranışlarının altında yatan anneye özgü değişkenlerin anlaşılması ve müdahale programlarına yol göstericisi olması açısından önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.
