Öz
Bu araştırmada, Türkiyeli ve Suriyeli ilkokul öğrencilerinin birbirlerine ilişkin tutumları, sınıf öğretmenlerinin deneyimleri çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Çalışma, nitel bir araştırma olarak tasarlanmıştır. Sınıf öğretmenlerinden derinlemesine ve detaylı veri toplamak için yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 6 erkek, 34 kadın olmak üzere toplam 40 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmenlerden toplanan nitel veriler, tematik analiz kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, aynı sınıflarda birlikte eğitim gören yerleşik ve göçmen öğrencilerin birbirlerine ilişkin tutumlarını ve davranışlarını belirleyen en önemli etkenlerin ortak dil ve iletişim, gruplararası arkadaşlık, kabul görme, dışla(n)ma, iç-grup dayanışması, öğretmen tutumları ve ailenin tutumları olduğu bulunmuştur. Buna ek olarak, göçmen öğrencilerin Türkçe konuşan öğrencilerle aynı sınıflarda birlikte ders görmelerinin, ortak dili genellikle daha etkin kullanmalarına yardımcı olduğu ve dolayısıyla gruplararası arkadaşlıklar kurmalarına olanak sağladığı görülmüştür. Son olarak, öğretmenlerin sınıf içi davranış ve yaklaşımlarının hem gruplararası tutumların, arkadaşlıkların ve bütünleşmenin gelişmesinde hem de göçmen öğrencilerin derse katılımında ve akademik başarılarının artmasında etkili olduğu ortaya konulmuştur.
