Öz
Önyargı, kalıpyargı ve ayrımcılık, maruz kalan grup üyelerinin birçok fiziksel ve psikolojik zorluk yaşamasına zemin hazırlamaktadır. Önyargı ve ayrımcılığın olumsuz sonuçlarını azaltmak, daha olumlu gruplar arası tutum ve davranışların gelişmesini sağlamak amacıyla çeşitli araştırmalar yürütülmüş ve kuramlar geliştirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda geliştirilen kuramlardan biri de gruplar arası hayali temas kuramıdır. Hayali temas, grup üyeleri arasında zihinsel olarak olumlu bir iletişim kurma yoluyla önyargıların azalmasına katkı sağlayan dolaylı bir temas türüdür. Türkiye’de hayali temas kuramı ile ilgili yürütülen çalışma sayısı oldukça sınırlıdır. Bu nedenle mevcut derleme çalışmasının amacı, hayali temas kuramını ve bu kuram çerçevesinde yürütülen bazı araştırma bulgularını sunmak, sunulan araştırma bulgularına dayanarak önerilerde bulunmak ve hayali temas hakkında detaylı bilgi sahibi olmak isteyen öğrenciler ve araştırmacılar için Türkçe bir kaynak sağlamaktır. Bu amaçla öncelikle önyargı, kalıpyargı ve ayrımcılık kavramlarına değinilmiş ve hayali temas kuramının dayandığı kuram ve araştırmalara ilişkin bilgi sunulmuştur. Daha sonra hayali temas kuramı, kuramın uygulanma noktasıyla ilgili yapılan değişiklikler, kuramla ilgili dünyanın çeşitli bölgelerinde ve Türkiye’de yürütülen araştırma bulguları ayrı ayrı ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Son bölümde ise kuramla ilgili görüşler ve gelecekte yürütülecek çalışmalara ilişkin öneriler sunulmuştur.
