Öz

Günümüzde internet ve akıllı telefon kullanımı hayatımızın önemli bir parçası haline gelmiştir. İnternet ve akıllı telefon kullanımının olumlu tarafları olduğu kadar, bazı olumsuz tarafları da bulunmaktadır. Literatürde internet ve akıllı telefon kullanımı davranışsal bağımlılık kapsamında ayrı olarak ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada buna paralel olarak problemli internet ve akıllı telefon kullanımı ile çeşitli bağımlılık türleriyle ilgili bulunan psikolojik faktörler arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Özellikle, duygu düzenleme, öz-denetim, depresyon ve sosyal kaygı semptomları ve yenilik arayışının problemli internet ve akıllı telefon kullanımını yordayacağı düşünülmüştür. Çalışmaya 18 ile 66 yaş (Ort. = 28.86, S=9.72) arasındaki 337 yetişkinden katılmıştır. Sonuçlar, depresyon ve sosyal kaygı semptomları ile düşük öz-denetimin problemli internet ve akıllı telefon kullanımını yordadığını, yenilik arayışının ise sadece problemli akıllı telefon kullanımını yordadığını göstermiştir. Bulgular ilgili literatür ışığında tartışılmış ve ileride yapılabilecek çalışmalar için öneride bulunulmuştur.
