Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı, aynı sınıfta öğrenim gören, Türk ve Suriyeli öğrencilerin gruplar arası olumlu ve olumsuz temas deneyimlerini incelemektir. Araştırma, nitel çalışma olarak kurgulanmıştır. Çalışmada yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 40 (Kadın: 32; Erkek: 8) okul psikolojik danışmanı oluşturmaktadır. Yüz yüze görüşme yapılarak toplanan sözel veriler, nitel veri analiz tekniği kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, gruplar arası olumlu temasa bağlı olarak Türk ve Suriyeli öğrencilerin birbirlerine yardım ettikleri saptanmıştır. Duygusal destek verme konusunda, ortak dil önemli bir faktör olarak gündeme gelmiştir. Ortak dilin etkin kullanımı, artan gruplar arası arkadaşlık, karşılıklı duygusal destek ve yardım davranışları arasında bir örüntü saptanmıştır. Suriyeli öğrencilerin, Türk öğrencileri daha çok aralarına almaya istekleri oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Gruplar arası olumsuz temasa odaklanıldığında ise, Türk ve Suriyeli öğrencilerin birbirlerini rahatsız etme durumlarına ilişkin olarak anlamlı sonuçlar saptanmıştır. Türkçeyi etkin kullanmayan Suriyeli öğrencilerin daha çok rahatsız edici davranışlara yöneldikleri ve bu öğrencilerin de daha çok dışlandığı ortaya konmuştur. Özellikle, gruplar arası uyum ve kaynaşma arttıkça, gruplar arası önyargının azaldığı ve sınıf ortamında hakaret davranışlarına daha az rastlandığı saptanmıştır.
