Öz
Öğrencilerin üniversitenin ilk yılında yaşadıkları yoğun stres ve uyum sorunları alanyazında ilgi gören önemli kavramlardır. Stresle ilgili olarak son dönemlerde sıkça araştırılan bir diğer kavramsa bilinçli farkındalıktır. Stresin bilinçli farkındalıkla ilişkini ele alan çalışmalarda, bu iki kavramın birbirleri ile negatif ilişkileri olduğu görülmektedir. Buradan yola çıkarak çalışmada Üniversiteye Uyum, Algılanan Stres ve Bilinçli Farkındalık değişkenlerinin arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemi üniversite hayatının ilk yılında bulunan 17-29 yaş arasındaki 240 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Katılımcılara demografik bilgi formu, Bilinçli Farkındalık Ölçeği, Algılanan Stres Ölçeği ve Üniversite Yaşamı Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlar öğrencilerin bilinçli farkındalık düzeyleri ile (1) algılanan stres düzeylerinin negatif, (2) üniversiteye uyum alt faktörlerinden Kişisel Uyum (KU) dışındaki faktörleri ile pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişkili olduğunu göstermiştir. Buna paralel olarak (3) Algılanan Stres düzeyi üniversiteye uyumun tüm alt faktörleriyle anlamlı düzeyde negatif yönde ilişkili bulunmuştur. Birincil analizlerin ardından tüm değişkenler ile yürütülen ikincil analiz sonucu bir dizi aracı değişken modelleri oluşturulmuştur. Bu modele göre (4) bilinçli farkındalık algılanan stres ve üniversiteye uyum (KU hariç) alt ölçekleri arasında aracı değişken görevi görmektedir. Son olarak, modele ve çalışmaya ilişkin kısıtlılıklar ve gelecek çalışmalarda neler yapılabileceği tartışılmıştır.
