Öz
Bu çalışmada anne ve babaların eğitim düzeyi ve mesleki statüleriyle kadın ve erkek bireylerin muhafazakârlık ve cinsiyetçilik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır. Bu bağlamda 229 kadın ve 189 erkek olmak üzere 418 üniversite öğrencisinden (Ortyaş = 22.31, S = 3.3) oluşan örnekleme anne-babalarının eğitim düzeyi ve mesleki statüleri ile ilgili soruların yanı sıra, düşmanca cinsiyetçilik ve korumacı cinsiyetçilik alt boyutlarını içeren Çelişik Duygulu Cinsiyetçilik Ölçeği ve Genel Muhafazakârlık Ölçeği sunulmuştur. Bulgular, ebeveynlerin eğitim düzeylerinin ve mesleki statüsünün kadın ve erkek katılımcıların düşmanca ve korumacı cinsiyetçilik ve muhafazakârlık değerleri ile çoğunlukla negatif korelasyon değerine sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca, ebeveynlerin eğitim düzeyi ve mesleki statüsü farklı değişkenlerle farklı cinsiyetlerde ilişkili bulunmuştur. Son olarak, bulgular alan yazındaki önceki çalışmalar ışığında tartışılmış, çalışmanın sınırlılıkları belirtilmiş ve katkıları ortaya koyulmuştur.
