Öz
Bu çalışmada, kadın alt gruplarına yönelik kalıpyargıların içeriğini kalıpyargı içeriği modeli çerçevesinde incelemek ve kalıpyargısal inançlar ile cinsiyetçilik arasındaki ilişkileri ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla yürütülen ilk çalışmada, 119 üniversite öğrencisinden 10 kadın grubunun yetkinlik ve sevecenliği ile birlikte statü ve yarışmacılık düzeylerini değerlendirmeleri istenmiştir. Ayrıca, çelişik duygulu cinsiyetçilik ölçeği kullanılarak katılımcıların cinsiyetçilik düzeyleri belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları, kadın alt gruplarına yönelik kalıpyargı içeriklerinin yetkinlik ve sevecenlik üzerinden tanımlanabileceğini, bu grupların üç kümede yer aldıklarını, birçok kadın grubuna yönelik kalıpyargıların karışık içerikli olduğunu ve statü-yetkinlik ve de yarışmacılık-sevecen(siz)liğin ilişkili olduğunu göstermiştir. Cinsiyetçiliğin ise kalıpyargı içerikleri ile değil, yarışmacılık ile ilişkili olduğu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, kalıpyargı içeriği modelinin iki önemli varsayımı olan kalıpyargı kümelerinin negatif sıfatlarla yapılan ölçümlerden etkilenmeyeceği ve bireysel kalıpyargıların motivasyonlara açık olduğu iddiaları desteklenmiştir. Birinci çalışmada hem yetkin hem de sevecen kümesinin gözlenmemesi üzerine ikinci çalışmada kadın alt grubu sayısı arttırılmıştır. Böylece, 86 üniversite öğrencisinden 18 kadın alt grubunu değerlendirmesi istenmiştir. Sonuçlar, ilk çalışmanın bulgularıyla uyumlu olarak, kalıpyargı içeriği modelinin temel boyutlar, kalıpyargı kümeleri, karışık içerikli kalıpyargıların sıklığı ve sosyal-yapısal belirleyiciler hipotezlerinin desteklendiğini göstermiştir. İki çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular ilgili literatür bağlamında tartışılmıştır.
