1736854806 Employee Well-Being Scale: Turkish Adaptation, Validity and Reliability Study

The aim of this study is to test the adaptation, validity and reliability of the Employee Well-being Scale developed by Pradhan and Hati (2022), which consists of four factors and 33 items. Employee well-being is defined as the comprehensive experience and function of the employee, including physical and psychological health, comfort and happiness (Pradhan & Hati 2022; Warr, 1999a). The sample of the study consisted of 329 employees (188 women and 141 men) who were employed in a full-time job. The Cronbach's alpha value obtained after the Alpha (α) Model of the scale was found to be .91 and the Test-Retest method value was found to be .96, and these results show that the reliability of the test is very high and the results of the test are reproducible. Considering the total correlation coefficients of the item analysis of the scale, it is seen that its contribution to the Employee Well-Being Scale is at a sufficient level. The results of Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) and Bartlett's Sphericity test, which is the criterion of suitability for factor analysis, are at a very good level with .90. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted to determine the validity of the scale and to reveal its factor structure. In the analysis, it was determined that the four-factor structure in the original format of the scale was differentiated in the Turkish adaptation, and the six-factor structure and 28 items explained 58.25% of the total item loadings. It was determined that the scale can be used as a valid and reliable tool for measuring employee well-being in Turkey by both researchers and practitioners such as human resources specialists.
